This policy explains what THE TRIP ("we", "us") collects when you apply to or use our creator access program, and what we do with it. This is a plain-language summary, not a substitute for legal advice specific to your situation.
When you apply, we collect your name, email address, phone number, city, and Instagram handle. If you're accepted and choose to add paid extras, Stripe (our payment processor) collects and handles your payment details directly - we never see or store your card number.
We use your details to review your application, contact you about its status, book your flight, hotel, and extras if you're approved, and process any payments you make for optional add-ons. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for anything unrelated to this program.
We share data with the services that make the program work: Stripe (payments), our email delivery infrastructure (sending you application updates), and our hosting provider. Each only receives what they need to do their job.
We keep applicant data for as long as needed to run the current round and resolve any related support or payment questions, and delete it on request outside of that.
The site uses your browser's local storage to remember your extras/checkout selections while you're using the account page. This stays on your device and isn't a tracking cookie.
You can ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, at any time. Email us and we'll handle it directly.
